It Has Been Awhile

So I have been lax in writing to you. Sorry. Let's see, you called your mom a "jerk" laughingly to your credit but you mom gave you a one-minute time out and your were hysterical. You were crying so much and you couldn't even breath! I guess that's the last time you'll be saying that word. You've been going to Chadwick and Country Day for testing and to me it is just a waste of time. I think you're happy at Pacific and your mom can't afford to send you to those schools right now.

Mom just totalled her car when someone hit her from behind. She is messed up with soft tissue injuries but you're fine. She is stressing now about buying a new car. She yelled at me tonight when I said she was talking too loud on her phone call about her car. I was out of there! I just gave her $900 the day before her accident to pay for her car repairs since she was stressed about that. I think she wants me to bail her out again. However, it's tiring always bailing her out when she doesn't even try to control her own spending.

You've been having tons of playdates, probably about two a week, sometimes more. I wish your mom would have you do some homework or reading before your playdates but I never see her going over stuff with you.

You had your first t-ball practice this week. All you pretty much did was run the bases and catch a grounder and throw to first while standing on the pitcher's mound. Some of your classmates are on your team so you had fun. You're becoming a social monster now. You only want to do things if your friends are involved. You'll walk all the way across the field to say "Hi" to one of your friends. Then you'll keep saying "Hi" again and again to the same person!
